I coached basketball at Toronto Athletic Club from 2009 to 2017. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
