Dolores S. Álvarez
Youth martial arts coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Fresno, California, United States
- Fresno Swimming Club
- 1998 to 2022
- English, Spanish
I coached martial arts at Fresno Swimming Club from 1998 to 2022. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Dolores
If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Dolores: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
