I've coached chess at Gwangju Willow Creek Sports Club since 1992. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
What gifts mean to Do-yoon: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
