Divya J. Patel
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- The Heritage Workshop
- 1993 to 2019
- English, Hindi
I'm a weaving specialist. If you live around Bengaluru, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 10 years later for another job.
More about Divya
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Divya: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
