Divina M. Valdez
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines
- Dasmariñas Trades Guild
- Since 2010
- English, Filipino
I've worked in shoemaking since 2010. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 590 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 16 years later for another job.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Divina: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
