I taught design and technology at Lotus Middle School in Howrah from 1981 to 2008. Most days I taught primary school children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Dipika
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Dipika: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
