Dineo Padayachee
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
- Old Pretoria Workshop
- Since 2001
- English, Afrikaans
I've worked in thatching since 2001. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,230 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Dineo
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
