I've been a nurse for 23 years, most of them in surgery at Acacia Regional Medical Center in Munich. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
