My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1982 in São Paulo and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I fix old bicycles.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Diego
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Diego: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
