Diarmuid D. Boyle
Coached cricket for 46 years in Limerick
- 🇮🇪 Limerick, Munster, Ireland
- Limerick Bamboo Sports Club
- Since 1980
- English, Spanish
I've coached cricket at Limerick Bamboo Sports Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Diarmuid
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Diarmuid: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
