I taught religious studies and geography at Hope Middle School, Varanasi. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Dhanalakshmi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Dhanalakshmi: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
