Devi H. Venter
Keeper of the rare books
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Lakeview Archive
- 1993 to 2018
- English, Zulu
For 25 years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Lakeview Archive.
Some of my favorite visitors were children who came for the heating and stayed for the books.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Devi: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
