Devi E. Ramachandran
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Old Mumbai Works
- Since 1991
- English
My trade is bicycle repair. I opened my own shop in 1991 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Devi: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
