Desmond E. Bailey
Teacher at Half-Way Tree Public School, loves chemistry

For 35 years I have been the chemistry teacher at Half-Way Tree Public School. I teach Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,230 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Desmond
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Desmond: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me chemistry in 2012 at Half-Way Tree Public School. I still remember the long bus ride home. Thank you again.
