For 19 years I have been the history teacher at Üsküdar Academy. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Derya: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
