Derek Rojas

Social studies and history teacher, Warren

  • 🇺🇸 Warren, Michigan, United States
  • Warren Secondary School
  • 2007 to 2023
  • English
Warren Secondary School was my second home. I taught social studies there from 2007 to 2023, mostly Grade 4. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Derek

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
