I taught nursing at Rochester University from 1989 to 2012, and supervised 18 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Derek
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

What gifts mean to Derek: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
