Derek F. Barnes
Teacher at Beacon Boys' School, loves computer science
- 🇺🇸 Riverside, California, United States
- Beacon Boys' School
- Since 1985
- English
Beacon Boys' School is my second home. I teach computer science there since 1985, mostly primary school children.
Over the years I've had 1,760 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Derek
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Derek: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
