Derek D. Carpenter
English literature and art teacher, San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- 2005 to 2016
- English
I taught English literature and art at San Diego Middle School, San Diego. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 250 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Derek
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Derek: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
