Derek C. Rogers
Coached cycling for 15 years in Oakland
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Oakland Northside Sports Club
- 2006 to 2021
- English
For 15 years I ran the cycling program at Oakland Northside Sports Club in Oakland. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
More about Derek
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Derek: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2018. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Dasmariñas.
