Derek A. Shelton
Retired home economics teacher from Harbor Boys' School
- 🇺🇸 Nashville, Tennessee, United States

I taught home economics at Harbor Boys' School in Nashville from 1985 to 2002. Most days I taught Year 10, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 710 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Derek
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Derek: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me home economics in 2012 at Harbor Boys' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard
