Dereje Samuel Getu
Agriculture and music teacher, Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa High School
- Since 1994
- English, Amharic
I teach agriculture and music at Addis Ababa High School, Addis Ababa. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Dereje
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me agriculture in 2004 at Addis Ababa High School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly. Truly.
