I'm a sculpture artist based in Addis Ababa. I've been making things since 1987 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by the sea. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Dereje: Any gift helps me keep the free Saturday class running.
