Dennis Okello Mbwambo
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Lakeview Workshop
- Since 1986
- English, Swahili
I've worked in baking since 1986. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,840 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Dennis
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Dennis: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
