Dennis Brian Simiyu

Martial arts and fitness coach, Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Jacaranda Football Club
  • Since 1979
  • English
I've coached martial arts at Dar es Salaam Jacaranda Football Club since 1979. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Dennis: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
