I taught early years at Birmingham Middle School in Birmingham from 1979 to 2013. Most days I taught first-year students, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Denise
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
