I taught French at Kingsway Primary School in Istanbul from 1984 to 2015. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I ran the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm learning the guitar.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Defne
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
