For 31 years I ran the rowing program at Salem Maple Ridge Community Club in Salem. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Deepa
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Deepa: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Khulna.
