Dedi Yusuf Pane
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
- The Hope Trades Guild
- 1978 to 1986
- English
I've worked in upholstery from 1978 to 1986. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 240 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Dedi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Dedi: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
