I taught biology at Kilkenny Girls' School in Kilkenny from 1991 to 2025. Most days I taught first-year students, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 2,040 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Declan
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me biology in 2003 at Kilkenny Girls' School. I still remember the rainy sports day.
