I'm a chess coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 180 kids fall in love with the game.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Declan
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Declan: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the day we all got the giggles in assembly. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Gondar.
