I coached football at Fayetteville Swimming Club from 1997 to 2006. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
More about Declan
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Declan: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
