I coached hockey at San Diego Football Club from 1978 to 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
What gifts mean to Declan: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
