Declan D. Fitzgerald
Special education and social studies teacher, Dublin
- 🇮🇪 Dublin, Leinster, Ireland
- Maple Ridge Girls' School
- 1996 to 2021
- English
I taught special education at Maple Ridge Girls' School in Dublin from 1996 to 2021. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I never turned anyone away.
I ran the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Declan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Declan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
