I've coached cross country at San Diego Andes Football Club since 1989. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
More about Deborah
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Deborah: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
