I taught French at Cedar Grove Girls' School in Portland from 1981 to 2019. Most days I taught first-year students, and I played music while people worked.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Deborah
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
