I taught agriculture at Birmingham Public School in Birmingham from 1996 to 2019. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
