I've been a nurse for 14 years, most of them in dialysis at Buffalo Maternity Hospital in Buffalo. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
