Daniel Uche Oyelaran
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Band
- 2001 to 2016
- English, Yoruba
I've played traditional drumming from 2001 to 2016, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Daniel
I wrote my first song when I was 15. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Daniel: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
