I coached wrestling at Good Shepherd Sports Club from 2008 to 2020. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Damien
If you played for me, you probably remember the snow day nobody expected.
What gifts mean to Damien: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
