I've worked in pottery from 1996 to 2011. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 870 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
