I coached gymnastics at San Jose Youth Club from 1988 to 2016. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Cynthia: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
