I coached chess at Iloilo City Youth Club from 2005 to 2022. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.

What gifts mean to Cris: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2009. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Caloocan.
