I teach social studies at Parkside High School in Oakland since 2013. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I've had 340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Cora
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
