Consuelo L. Contreras

Local masonry and electrical work

  • 🇲🇽 Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico
  • Starlight Workshop
  • Since 1987
  • Spanish
I've worked in masonry since 1987. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 860 apprentices. I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Consuelo

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Consuelo: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
