Collins Wekesa Temba
Sitar player and teacher in Naivasha
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Naivasha Band
- Since 1986
- English
I play sitar and bass. I started in 1986 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 16 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Collins: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
