I've coached wrestling at Maple Ridge Youth Club since 1990. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
