Coach Zalak
Youth athletics coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Salem, Tamil Nadu, India
- Salem Community Club
- 1984 to 2019
- English, Gujarati
I coached athletics at Salem Community Club from 1984 to 2019. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Zalak
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Zalak: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
