Coach Yves
Chess and fitness coach, Montréal
- 🇨🇦 Montréal, Quebec, Canada
- Montréal Swimming Club
- 1986 to 2009
- English
I coached chess at Montréal Swimming Club from 1986 to 2009. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Coach Yves
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Yves: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
