Coach Yağmur
Coached cycling for twelve years in Istanbul
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- 1987 to 1999
- English, Turkish, Spanish
For twelve years I ran the cycling program at Istanbul Silverlake Boxing Gym in Istanbul. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Yağmur
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Yağmur: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Wollongong.
